Lynne, a major figure at New Line Cinema for years, died of cancer in March.

The 95-acre property in Cutchogue is listed for $17.9 million. It includes a historic cottage, several pieces of land and Bedell Cellars, a popular winery in the area.

Lynne, known for his role producing “The Lord of the Rings” franchise, purchased the vineyards nearly two decades ago.

The current sale includes the operations of Bedell and Corey Creek wineries, as well as a four-bedroom cottage that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The furnished, fully renovated home features interior design by Vicente Wolf, landscaping by Ed Hollander, a 150-year-old maple tree and a working apple orchard.

Bedell features a 10,000-square-foot winery that includes a tasting room, wine lab, barrel room, fermentation cellar and bottling line. Thousands come each year to visit for wine tastings and wedding ceremonies.

"Dedicated to quality and creativity in everything they do, with a deep commitment to sustainable farming, Bedell has hand-crafted their wines in small batches for 35 years using methods that define the regional style — artistically blending grapes grown in the area's unique maritime terroir," the listing states. "Every bottle of wine is produced from grapes grown on one of the Bedell properties. With a true vertical operation, their estate grown wines have achieved critical acclaim and awards.”

Last month on social media, Richard Olsen-Barbich, a winemaker at Bedell posted, “with profound sadness, we announce the death of our beloved owner, Michael Lynne. There was no greater or more passionate advocate of Long Island wines. His unwavering commitment to quality winemaking was the driving force behind our success for the past 19 years.

"We will now carry the torch for him in all that we do at Bedell Cellars. It has been a privilege to work for Michael Lynne and we will continue to honor his memory with every wine we make."
